Commissioning Engineer

Reports to: Chief Technician
Direct reports: 0
Location: Mobile

Overview

Commissioning Engineers provide a first class UK-wide engineering support service to a customer base across diverse industries. A truly mobile role, Commissioning Engineers respond to planned commissioning’s and ad-hoc issues pre and post commissioning works to ensure minimal customer impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Schedule and coordinate work to tight deadlines, ensuring that equipment works to its specification.
  • Create and carry out test procedures,
  • Investigate problems, diagnose/repair faults, troubleshoot.
  • Liaise with Installation teams, Project Engineers, Service Engineers.
  • Supervise engineering and technical staff from trade contractors involved in Commissioning (i.e. Burner Suppliers), training operative staff as required.
  • Write reports and documentation, making improvements to advising on operational procedures
  • Ensure safe working conditions and compliance with the Company Health, Safety and Quality Procedures,
  • Maintain knowledge and sensitivity to competitor activity/products,
  • Review pre-commissioning checklist and feedback accordingly,
  • Ensure timely completion of documentation including Commissioning Reports and timesheets,
  • Manage Warranty claims and ensure successful close out,
  • Where requested, attend the following:
    – Sales Order handover
    – Pre-delivery inspections
    – Factory Acceptance Tests
  • Be aware of both planned days and financial status of Commissioning operations.

Person Specification

Essential Qualifications:

  • Experience of industrial steam and hot water boilers, burners, controls and ancillary plant
  • Qualified commercial gas engineer
  • Qualified 17th Edition electrical
  • PLC Design, Programming and Commission experience
  • Excellent diagnostic skills and dedication to achieving maximum performance and efficiency.

Service Engineer

Service Engineer, Ireland

Pipefitter Welder

Reports to: Production Foreman
Direct reports: 0
Location: Keighley/Mobile

Overview

Working as part of a team, and split between the Keighley based manufacturing plant and customer sites, this role will be responsible for all aspects of providing a first class pipefitting operation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Covering steam, hot water and industrial production and processing systems, the role will be responsible for the lay out, assembly and installation of the following:
    – Pipework systems
    – Pipe supports
    – Related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment
  • Interpret drawings and plans when necessary
  • Inspect, examine and test installed systems and pipe lines
  • Ensure materials and supplies are ordered, liaising with internal and external suppliers as necessary

Person Specification

Essential:

  • Experience with both threaded and welded pipework, ranging from ½’’ to 8’’ in diameter
  • Be a competent MMA welder (coding preferred)
  • Good working knowledge of H&S requirements
  • Highly motivated and able to work as part of a team and on own initiative
  • Hold a full UK driving licence.

Desirable:

  • A background in industrial boilers and associated boiler house equipment/ ancillaries.
  • Relevant safety training/ competency cards- ie CSCS, PAL, PASMA
  • Experience of both welded and screwed pipework,
  • Experience in fabrication of mild and stainless steel components
