CEA ANNOUNCES BRAND NEW CONFERENCES FOR 2014

Posted on

The CEA (Combustion Engineering Association) is hosting more conferences this year.

The CEA is a registered educational charity that aims to improve the understanding and development of the combustion industry. Their 80-year-history is filled with knowledge of science and best practice in regards to combustion engineering. They too promote efficiency in the utilisation of all types of fuel.

With sustainable and renewable energy being a commonplace global aspiration, the need for a better use of fuel combustion has never been greater.

After the significant interest shown at previous conferences by those wanting to know more about the risk aspects of boilers, the CEA are introducing a new conference dedicated to the subject.

The conference includes the safe operation and management of steam and hot water boiler plants and a new specific risk assessment based conference is now available. So book your place today…

CEA Conferences:

“BG01 – PM5 Now Replaced” – Wednesday 18th June (Nottingham) & Wednesday 16th July (Manchester)

This conference introduces the most significant development in the steam industry for over a decade and it is therefore essential for operators, managers and owners of steam boiler plant to ensure that each is aware of the risks and  their respective responsibilities for the safe operation and management of steam and hotwater boiler plant.

“Boilerhouse Technical Risk Assessment” – Thursday 19th June (Nottingham) & Thursday 17th July (Manchester)

This conference will explain the major hazards in any boilerhouse and how to manage them through a risk assessment process. Gaining an underpinning knowledge in this is vital because it is a legal requirement of Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999. This requires the completion of ‘suitable and sufficient’ risk assessments including the risks to health and safety of the employees  to which are exposed whilst at work.
