The leading British manufacturer of steam boiler solutions.
With 5 decades of boiler manufacturing and innovation, we have become experts in steam.
Our industrial boilers are individually built to order using the best combination of traditional boiler making skills and modern, innovative control technology.
The Yorkshireman and Yorkshireman2 steam boilers are well known for their reliability, efficiency and performance. These are quickly becoming the preferred boilers and they are perfect for larger applications.
The MX boiler is suited to smaller applications and is the perfect upgrade when switching from electricity to steam in order to run a more efficient and cost-effective process.
Packaged energy centres and boilerhouses are perfect for multiple boiler installations. A simple ‘plug-and-play’ solution will significantly reduce on-site disruption.
All our steam boilers are made in Britain at our factory in West Yorkshire.
Our steam boiler solutions include:
With certain applications, it makes sense to install a waste heat steam boiler. Low-temperature applications, for example, could benefit from recovering some of the wasted heat from the exhaust and ‘reusing’ it elsewhere in the process, thus operating in a far more efficient manner.
A composite steam boiler will give you much better control when steam demand is high, by blending the waste and fired boilers into a single unit capable of satisfying the whole site demand.
Economisers recover heat from the flue gasses after they have left the steam boiler. This recovered heat is most frequently used to pre-heat the boiler feedwater and offers fuel savings of between 4 and 10%. In addition to reducing fuel usage and emissions, an economiser when heating the boiler feedwater, allows the boiler to more rapidly respond to load changes, thus increasing efficiencies. Typically, systems like this pay for themselves within months.
Accumulators are custom made storage vessels that help smooth out the peaks and troughs from your steam demand. Industrial boilers are at their most efficient when operating around 70% of nameplate capacity, therefore, factories that experience highly variable steam demand would likely benefit from sizing boilers for their average load (instead of peak load) and incorporating a steam accumulator to smooth out the peaks and troughs in demand for steam.
