Lord Lieutenant Presents at Byworth’s Queen’s Award Ceremony
Friday marked a very special day for Byworth Boilers when they officially celebrated their Queen’s Award for Enterprise in Innovation win.
The award ceremony took place at Byworth’s factory in West Yorkshire.
The Royal representative, Dr Ingrid Roscoe, Lord Lieutenant of West Yorkshire presented Byworth with a Grant of Appointment; a tradition that is bestowed upon the elite few companies that receive a Queen’s award each year.
Byworth’s Financial Director, Rachel Westerman, along with Byworth’s Control Systems Engineer, Jason Atkinson (who oversaw the entire Unity project), accepted the commemorative rose bowl and scroll on behalf of the company.
Unity is Byworth’s smart control system and it’s the reason they won the award in the innovation category.
Commenting on the event, Rachel Westerman thanked the employees that had worked to bring Unity to market, and its ongoing development.
Unity has achieved outstanding results in its field. The pioneering system employs Industry 4.0 technology to deliver reduced operating costs and safer management of industrial boiler houses.
